I was gratefully privileged in my own work to have received an invite to join a Team of 4 on Mission to Nigeria, where my role was to come alongside women who are widows to offer befriending and counsel during the programme of my colleague teaching them in jewellery-making.
Here are 2 significant images of this trip for you which I feel really encapsulates our call to ‘Pastoral Care’. The one picture shows a participant finishing her piece of work in making a beaded cross – I called this picture ‘Examining the Cross’ and the other where I was listening to a women’s ‘personal narrative of her life journey, faith-walk and hopes and expectations for the future’. Indeed to God be the glory great things He has done, is doing and has promised He will continue to do in our lives and the lives of others whom we encounter.
